Origins of 'trend'
'trend' is able to offer free support to qualifying businesses thanks to funding from the government's Business Resource
Efficiency and Waste (BREW) Programme with Envirowise. The
fund was set up following consultation with businesses
representatives, the Treasury and the Department of Trade and Industry, covering England only. Funding for the BREW
Programme comes from landfill tax collection that the government has pledged to put back into business over the next few
years.

'trend' is one of hundreds of business support projects across the UK being delivered through the the BREW programme.
'trend' is delivered by Groundwork, the environmental regeneration charity that supports businesses in
realising the economic benefits of environmental action and sustainable development.
What is Groundwork?Groundwork is a federation of charitable trusts in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, that each work with partners to improve the quality of the local environment, the lives of local people and the success of local businesses - focusing on areas in need of investment and support. Each Groundwork trust is a partnership between the public, private and voluntarily sectors with its own board of trustees. 'trend' is managed by a team from the West London and Thames Valley trusts.
